However, the solve command below is a cas-only command that provides analytical (non-numerical) solutions such as x=5\/2. On top of that, cas allows general solution to equations such as mx+b=0 as x=-b\/m . A non &#8211; cas would not be able to do that with its numerical engine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"566\" height=\"426\" src=\"https:\/\/tinspireapps.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1699\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tinspireapps.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/image-4.png 566w, https:\/\/tinspireapps.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/image-4-300x226.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 566px) 85vw, 566px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAS usage in Calculus:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Integral of the standard parabola from 0 to 1 can be found numerically as .333 using a non cas calculator. See below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"566\" height=\"426\" src=\"https:\/\/tinspireapps.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1700\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tinspireapps.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/image-5.png 566w, https:\/\/tinspireapps.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/image-5-300x226.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 566px) 85vw, 566px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A cas calculator however can find that same integral as an exact fraction 1\/3, no numerical approximation to 100+ is needed here.  In fact, the general evaluated integral can found when entering a and b as bounds instead.
